New Beginnings Tarot Spread

New Beginnings Tarot Spread
From http://hermeticrose.com/2010/08/the-fool/

This layout follows the rough outline of the Fool’s body as shown on the card–poised like a bow and arrow prior to release. A drawn bow holds a lot of tension and potential. When you start a new project it’s much the same. You are the bow embodying both the tension and potential that will carry the project forward. Your enthusiasm is the energy that bends the bow and draws the string. This spread seeks to give you an opportunity to consider some of the forces that may effect your aim and become aware of resources you can use to support you in your goals.
Instructions
Shuffle the deck while thinking of your intention for the reading. You may wish to focus on this course as a new project. Or, you may be at the start some other new direction. Hold one or the other in mind. Remember the cards are a mirror to show you what you aspects of the situation that you might not be aware of. For example you would think you would be aware of your conscious position, but often you don’t fully realize the stance you have taken. The cards, like a dream, are there to help you see these things and make adjustments if necessary.
After you have shuffled the cards to your satisfaction, deal them out in the order shown on the layout. Do not deal out a card for the Outcome Card.
The Outcome Card will be the major arcana card equal to the sum of the numeric values of all the cards in the reading. Give the value of 4 to Kings, 3 to Queens, 2 to Knights and 1 to Pages. If the sum is higher than 22 add the numbers of the sum together. Use the final number to select the appropriate major arcana card.
What are you leading with (position 1 – the Right Hand)? Where is the tip of the arrow aimed? Then, what are the forces that propel the project forward? What resources do you bring (position 2 – Sack)? Look at the position 3—what might be the areas of vulnerability? Position 4 (the dog) will show you instinct to be trusted?
Consider the distribution of suits. Do you have several wands or cups? What is the distribution of the cards telling you. Do you have more than two major arcana (including the outcome card)? If so, this may indicate a project that already has much momentum.
What do you take away from this reading? How has this reading contributed to your self-knowledge? Write a short paragraph.
Make note of your reading and your reflections in your tarot journal. For example, if you drew the seven of swords, go to your seven of swords page, note the date, the reading, the position of the card and your associations about how it might apply to your life.

New Year Spell/Ritual

New Year Spell/Ritual
by StarFields
The basic structure of this New Year's Spell is to use the 12 houses of the Zodiac like a clock face to place intentions for the 12 months of the coming year.
For each clock position, we place a marker and evoke our intentions with a simple spell.
Each clock position corresponds to one of the houses of the Zodiac, starting with Aries at 1 o'clock and finishing with Pisces at 12 o'clock.
When the whole clock/year/zodiac is complete, we bless the whole thing altogether and let it become a symbol sphere, which makes it more than the sum of its parts.
Here is the whole New Year Spell, step by step:
Preparing for the New Year's Spell
1 – Aries – Seeds, new beginnings, inspiration, new projects, birth.
2 – Taurus – Earthly success, material wealth, physical health.
3 – Gemini – Communication, messages, information.
4 – Cancer – Relationships with self, other people and higher forces.
5 – Leo – Art, romance, luck, free will, creativity, love.
6 – Virgo – Service, family, community, organisation.
7 – Libra – Harmony, balance, negotiations, resolutions.
8 – Scorpio – Magic, philosophy, sex, death, alchemy.
9 – Sagittarius – Spirituality, universal consciousness, law, science.
10 – Capricorn – Power, authority, fame, empire building.
11 – Aquarius – Renewal, evolution, transcending the old, transpersonal.
12 – Pisces – Soul, karmic matters, mysteries, far journeys.
Copy out the 12 houses of the zodiac below and consider what you want to have happen for the next year in that department.
For example, 1, Aries, is about new beginnings. What do you want to begin or start afresh? Make up your mind and write it down, for example, I want to start exercising regularly.
Put your desire into this form of spell:
Lord of the Stars
now hear my plea:
Bring (...) to me
in perfect love and harmony
this is my will, so shall it be.

In our example, we could choose to say:
Lord of the Stars
now hear my plea:
Bring wondrous exercise to me
in perfect love and harmony
this is my will, so shall it be.

Work your way through all the 12 houses/positions so you know what you are going to say; write it down if necessary.
*Personification Note For The New Year's Spell: You can choose to direct your spell to another entity than the Lord of the Stars. For example, you can evoke the Lady of the Stars, Jesus Christ, "my higher self" or any entity you personally feel will get the job done for you.

2. Gathering The New Year's Spell/Ritual Ingredients For The New Years Spell
The base pattern for this spell is to light a white candle for each one of the 12 sub-spells/positions. This can be a candle or a tea light and when all are lit, you have a quite wonderful "circle of lights."
*Personalization Notes For The New Year's Spell: For those who can't manage 12 candles for whatever reason, you can use other markers instead, for example 12 clear quartz crystals, or 12 pebbles at a pinch. The main thing is that something happens after you have spoken the spell. Either you light the candle and place it into the circle, or kiss the crystal/stone/marker and place it in the circle. That concludes the 12 individual sub-spells each time.
There is no need to cast a circle for this spell/ritual as the completed Circle of Lights is clearly its own circle and focuses the energy of the 12 spells by virtue of being an established circle; but if you want to cast one and invite the quarters, by all means, feel free to do so.
If you want, you can mark out the places on your New Year's Spell clock before you start with chalk/sand circles, or by placing pictures of the Zodiac signs down, or using a ritual cloth or painting with the Zodiac circle upon it. It's not necessary however as the Circle of Lights comes into being anyway when you light/place the markers.

3. Doing The New Year Spell/Ritual
Be clear in your mind what you are going to ask for on each one of the positions; have it written down if necessary.
Set a nice ambiance (many practitioners prefer to take a ritual bath and get dressed in ceremonial clothes and jewelry before they start).
Have your candles ready to hand and the space to place them.
* Personalization note: You can do this New Years Spell on a table top, or on the floor, and you can be inside the Circle of Lights, or outside of it and make it smaller.
Relax, loosen up any tense body parts, take three deep breaths and evoke:

On this night,
I bless the year to come
My will be heard,
My will be done.

Light the first candle, evoke the requisite spell for the 1 o'clock position and place the candle in the 1 o'clock position.
Take a deep breath in and out and clear your mind.
Pick up the next candle, light it from the 1st and evoke the spell for the 2 o'clock position.
Repeat until the whole Circle of Lights is established.
With both hands over the circle in a clockwise direction, evoke:

On this night
I bless the year to come
My will was heard,
and it is done.
Bow and either blow out the candles or if safe/possible, leave the candles to burn out through the rest of the night.

New Year's Eve Spell 2014

New Year's Eve Spell: Out with the old, In with the new
From magicalrecipesonline.com
On the day before the New Year's Eve take out your broomstick (or electrical vacuum cleaner) and clean your home, chanting : "Negativity begone, out of my way once and for all!".
Try to vacuum your house starting from inside and finishing at the door. Once finished open the door and proclaim one last time: "Negativity begone, out of my way once and for all!".
Then prepare a mixture of salt and blessed water and sprinkle the mixture in your house saying: "Negativity is gone, a barrier of light is built to protect me and the ones I love!".
Try to put your best effort in both processes as
a) negativity is the worst debris you want in your house
and b) protecting yourself and the ones you love is a fundamental step to achieve stability in your life without disturbances and interference.
If you feel like it, cast a magic spell for protection and create a protective magical amulet for you and the ones you love and present it to them as a gift.

Now moving to the second part:
Ingredients:
1 pomegranate (try to choose a really nice one)
1 white candle
Chips from the bark of red sandalwood (optional)
Incense of your choice (choose your favorite one)

Now you can either choose the night of the 1st day of the year or the previous night after the clocks have passed 12 and the new year has come. Have a relaxing bath, dress beautifully, put your favorite perfume and cast the spell showing the true witch that you are:
Light the incense and the candle, hold the pomegranate in your raised hands and proclaim:
"Gods and Goddesses that made the Earth and Stars I call upon thee
Hear me this sacred night, I invoke your light.
Come and bless me, my house and the ones I love,
Good luck will only follow us once and for all.
Pomegranate, divine promise, eternal life,
You are mine I hold thee,
Your countless blessings send to shower us all,
And as I said so be it."

Crash the pomegranate to the ground and say:
"Good luck, blessings of the Earth and Stars will now shower us,
in divine love our hearts we trust."
The spell has been released. Gather the seeds and bury some in the ground.
Take the juice and mix it with red sandalwood (alternatively use only the juice).
Make small marks inside your house saying:
"Good luck, the blessing of the Earth and Stars will only shower us".
Your spell is done, may the New Year bring you love, luck, happiness and fun!

Candle Spell to Welcome the New Year

Candle Spell to Welcome the New Year
The new year is a time for new beginnings, as well as an opportunity to ensure one’s luck for the year to come.
The following is a welcoming ritual to add to your celebration. Choose the most convenient time to perform this rite by coordinating it with your other activities.
You could try it a few minutes before or after midnight or at any time during the following day.
You can also perform it with your family or group, changing the “I” to “we.”
When ready, light the candle and say:
As I light this candle,
I bid the Old Year farewell,
With gratitude for milestones passed,
And memories cherished.
And I welcome the New Year in
With love and warmth and blessings.
That the quality of this new year be assured,
I now dedicate a moment to visioning
Some ways to make this year
A year of excellence,
A year of fortune.

Pause for a moment to envision the kind of year that you want to have and the kind of person that you want to be. Enhance these visualizations by imagining your objectives charged with energy and bathed in glowing light.
Then continue:
And thus do my wishes for the year
take on their own life and purpose.
So does the year itself
take on a glowing life and power;
A bright year, a bold year,
a golden year, a year of magic!
So may this year bring luck,
and peace, and prosperity
to one and all.
Now return your revelries, or whatever you have planned. You can allow the candle to burn continuously, or relight it every morning to reactivate the magic of your celebration.
Whether the candle takes a few days or a few months to burn down, you can be satisfied that its flames will radiate your blessings to last the twelve months out.

What is ahead - I can not see
Locked in and unable to be freed
The sound is there
Remain quiet... move ahead... I do not dare

Essential Oils for Balancing Chakras; 7th Chakra or the Crown Chakra

Essential Oils for Balancing Chakras; 7th Chakra or the Crown Chakra

Lots of more great articles there too!!!

The Crown Chakra; 7th Chakra (Sahaswara or Sahasrara) - Sahasrara means "Thousand petaled" and is associated with the pineal gland. The crown chakra is at the crown of the head and signifies our connection or alignment to GOD/the Source/Allah or the Universal Energy in all of its manifestations. It balances both the inner and outer self, and is the connection for our higher-self. It is the channel through which we receive divine guidance, purpose and wisdom, and our connection to others and the world outside of ourselves. With the crown chakra we greet the divine in everyone. The crown chakra is also associated with spiritual attainment, silent contemplation, and eternal truth. When the crown chakra is open, we can see ourselves in others without prejudice or judgement. Through the open crown chakra we are brought knowledge and wisdom, and a spiritual peace. Also, with an open crown chakra we are better at manifesting our deepest true desires. The physical effects a blocked or stagnant crown chakra can include issues with the nervous system, skeletal system, pineal gland, and all nerve pathways and electrical synapses.
If this chakra is closed, we are most likely very rigid in our thoughts and perceptions, acting stubbornly and ignoring the help of others. We are probably unaware or disrespectful of our own spirituality as well as that of others. With a blocked or stagnant crown chakra most likely we have very low energy, are depressed, lonely, and feel isolated from society- with an anxious and worried countenance. The color associated to the crown chakra is violet or purple, and the secondary color is clear or white.
"Life lessons to be learned through the Crown Chakra are intuitive knowing, integration of the whole Self, spirituality, living in the now, discovery of the Divine, the ability to see the big picture in the stream of Life, devotion, inspiration, values, ethics, trust, selflessness, humanitarianism. The information stored in the Seventh Chakra includes your connection to the Divine, your life's purpose, your connection to past lives, and immortality. An imbalance in the Crown Chakra may be felt as lack of purpose, loss of meaning or identity, mental illness, and senility ." --wejees.net
Angelic aid in balancing the Crown Chakra; Archangels Zadkiel and Christiel: The Archangels that can aid us in balancing the Crown Chakra are Christiel who will help you keep this channel open so that you are fully connected to God and the Universal Life-Force. Also Archangel Zadkiel, along with The Archangel of Freedom and Transmutation of the Violet Ray. According to the book " Angels of Love and Light" by Linn Fisher,
"Archangel Zadkiel (angel of the violet seventh ray) represents transmutation and purification through invocation-the act of calling upon the presence of God for intercession. The archangels of the violet ray intensify the powers of mercy, compassion, forgiveness and freedom. Zadkiel is the angel of benevolence, mercy and memory, according to Davidson's, A Dictionary of Angels . Some writers say it was Zadkiel who held back Abraham's arm when the patriarch was about to sacrifice his son Isaac. Ronner's, Know Your Angels, has Zadkiel's symbol as the sacrificial knife, apparently because of his interlude with Abraham. Zadkiel and Amethyst's ray, which manifests as the violet flame, has an important role in alchemy, the chemistry of the Middle Ages. Through fire, alchemists of the 16th century learned it was possible to transform base metals into gold. This lesson can be applied on many levels. The science of transmutation and change, in theological terms, is the process of transforming lower human consciousness to a higher spiritual vibration. Isaac Newton discovered that a ray of sunlight passing through a prism will separate into seven colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. The color violet has the shortest wavelength but the highest frequency of visible light in the color spectrum. It is the transitional vibration leading to the next octave of color and light. When we talk about transforming ourselves spiritually, we must think of the power of the violet flame. The violet flame is like the spiritual wine of forgiveness, for it represents the quality of mercy in the world. Through the power of forgiveness, fear and anger are transformed back into love as if nothing discordant ever happened. The violet flame is also called the "violet transmuting flame of forgiveness." By visualizing the violet flame, the action of forgiveness and the Holy Spirit, we can use this divine transforming chemistry to change our world. Read more from Linn Fisher here or find her book here " Angels of Love and Light".

Gemstones & Flower Essences that stimulate, cleanse & energize the Crown Chakra :The special crystal jewel, the amethyst, is thought to be the symbolic condensation of the violet ray. It is the birthstone for the astrological sign of Aquarius, the sign representing freedom and the coming of the "new clear age of consciousness" on this planet. Also gemstones like diamonds, clear quartz, moldavite, opal, pearls and moonstone, as well as peacock ore are perfect for bringing the crown charka into alignment and balance. Amethyst is also known as the stone of meditation which is believed to protect against psychic attacks, serenity, composure, as well as enhance cooperation between, physical, mental and emotional bodies. Blue Lace Agate also helps to reach high spiritual places, and is associated with flight, air, movement, and grace. Ametrine can be used to help balance the crown chakra with a combination of amethyst and citrine it helps disperse negativity from the aura, fills voids with pure light energy, releases blocks and stagnation in physical, mental, emotional and auric bodies, and helps to release negative emotional programming, also aids astral travel. Click here to see more gemstones . The flower essences used to balance the Seventh Chakra are lotus, angelica, and star tulip.
Foods that fuel the Crown Chakra include dark bluish colored fruits such as blueberries, red and concord grapes, black berries, raspberries, etc. and liquids such as red wines and grape juice, and spices like lavender, poppy seed, and mugwort.
How to Use Essential Oils to Balance the Crown Chakra;
First, choose a blend that speaks only to you. Peruse the oils listed for the crown chakra and notice which oils you are drawn to. See this page of my Root Chakra article for more specific instructions on how to use essential oils to balance the crown chakra, as the method described there is useful for all the chakras.
Sounds and Notes for Balancing the Crown Chakra:
The note that helps balance the chakra is "B", and the sound intonation is "eee" as in see or bee vowel sound. Chakra balancing can be achieved by using many different methods, all equally effective. It really is a matter of choice which you prefer. Methods such as meditation, energy work, light work, or Reiki are also helpful when used in conjunction with essential oils, crystals, gemstones, and sound healing techniques such as tuning forks, toning, and humming which may be incorporated into your chakra healing sessions. See AC's own Crystal Kennedy 's article on using sound healing techniques to balance the chakras .

Essential Oils for Balancing Chakras; 6th Chakra or the Third Eye Chakra

Essential Oils for Balancing Chakras; 6th Chakra or the Third Eye Chakra

http://voices.yahoo.com/essential-oils-chakras-part-seven-using-essential-7618646.html?cat=5
The Third Eye Chakra; 6th Chakra (Ajna) - Intuition, Wisdom, Logic & E.S.P
The sixth chakra (also called the 'third eye' or brow chakra) is located at the pituitary/pineal level in the center of the brain (not the center of the forehead), and is also known as "the Third Eye". This chakra governs spiritual direction and wisdom. It is the seat of dreams, inner vision, and the spiritual life. Its color is indigo or shades of dark blue and deals with self-mastery, wisdom, opening doors to the subconscious, restoring long-buried soul memories, bridging the finite and infinite, assisting and guiding our inner journeys to spiritual or cosmic knowledge. Indigo also deals with connecting to a higher understanding, self-acceptance, and intuition, as well as spiritual and celestial love. The 6th chakra is the seat of all your intuitive abilities: inner seeing, inner hearing, inner feeling and inner knowing. The physiological functions of the third eye chakra or 6th chakra are related to vision, the eyes, and the pituitary gland, the 1st cervical vertebrae, endocrine system, sinuses, ears, and face, and metaphysically affects; the energy center of intuition, imagination, and creative visualization.
This chakra is about seeing, both literally and intuitively. It gives us insight. When it is open we are very self aware, perceptive and may have heightened clairvoyance. We are better at healing, more sure of the future, and tend to make better choices. This is the chakra of visions and dreams and imagination.
If this chakra is closed, we tend to not think for ourselves and are easily confused. We may rely overmuch on others for guidance and direction. We may be without purpose. Physically we can have a depressed thyroid and respiratory trouble. Blocked or low energy third eye chakra may promote sypmtoms such as: difficulty sleeping, problems with hearing, skin disorders, overwhelming need for balance, longing for purification, or the inability to help oneself.
Your intuition and insight isn't just about knowing thing ahead of time or making deep prophecies, it's mostly about being able to see the truth about yourself and others.
Archangel Uriel: Inner Peace, Harmony, Illumination, Brow Chakra
Archangel Uriel is the angel of peace and salvation. His role is to shine light where there is darkness, and help us to shine light into the lives of others when and where we can. He illuminates our path. He helps bring a peaceful resolution to problems. He gives understanding and knowledge of why things are like they are, he helps us trust in the plan that the Universe has for us so we can know it really is in Divine Order (especially when things appear to be going wrong). He helps us turn our worst disappointments into our greatest blessings. Call upon him when you feel incapable of inner peace and stillness. He helps us release resentment, anger, and learn forgiveness. He gently teaches us that those energies are really only harmful to ourselves. The Third Eye and healing are also the responsibility of Archangels Raphael and Mary. They help keep us healthy through our emotions and feelings, bringing clarity to situations through another perspective (our Third Eye). I love how this explanation from healing.about.com describes Third Eye chakra and how it can be used to connect with your angels,
"Think of your 6th Chakra as a radio tuner that allows you to "tune in" to the frequencies and vibrations of your Angels. When you tune a radio to a specific frequency, you will hear a specific radio station - classical, country, rock, and so on, that are being broadcast on those frequencies. Each Angel has a specific range of frequency, or vibrational quality, that you can learn to tune into with practice. You may also find it helpful to listen to one of the free Angel Blessing Circle Audios .
Essential Oils for the 6th Chakra also called the Third Eye or Brow Chakra
Some oils that revitalize and seal the aura are frankincense, lemon, rosemary, bergamot, vetiver, geranium, sage, patchouli, or mugwort. Other essential oils associated with or that can help clear, balance and strengthen the third eye chakra are: Basil, Bay Laurel, Cedarwood (Atlas), Clary Sage, Fir, Immortelle (Helichrysum italicum), Jasmine, Juniper, Lemon, Palmarosa, Peppermint, Rosemary
Patchouli and Myrrh. These oils are connected with increasing openness, spirituality, grounding and increasing insight; Sandalwood, Frankincense, Peppermint, Chamomile, Clary Sage, Cypress, Cedarwood. The best essential oils to open this chakra are wormwood, frankincense, Atlas cedarwood, helichrysum (or everlast), spruce, pine, rose, rosemary, clary sage, oregano and marjoram, all thymes and linden blossom. Best for cleansing this aura are the essential oils; Atlas cedarwood, cypress, geranium, juniper, lavender, lemon, lemongrass, mugwort, orange, peppermint, pine and rosewood.
Here are some handy descriptions of a couple essential oils; Lemon: aids with depression, clarity of thought, is very refreshing, cooling, helps concentration, and is very uplifting to body-mind- spirit, as well as quite centering. Rosemary: helps with waking up the mind, and aids in; lethargy, mental strain and fatigue, also good for depression, nervous exhaustion, stress, anxiey, and is quite invigorating, it helps with the conscious mind, settling nerves, enlivens brain cells, clears the head, aids in memory, love, and centering, also great for creativity.
Suzanne Bovenizer has excellent advice,
"Essential oils can play a big role for physical manifestations of third eye dysfunctionings. Headaches and migraines can be related to a stressed and tense third eye chakra. Common essential oils for headaches are lavender, tea tree, eucalyptus, jasmine, peppermint, hyssop, melissa, chamomile, marjoram and rosemary . A cool compress with essential oils added can be laid on the forehead and over the eyes to reduce the heat and tension of tight inter-cranial membranes. Lavender can also be rubbed directly on the temples to soothe and de-stress the restrictive membranes. Oils that help eye problems like sties or conjunctivitis are tea tree, lavender, clary sage, geranium, lemon, chamomile and rose, also green myrtle hydrosol . Adding essential oils to a bowl of steaming water and deeply inhaling the steam can help sinus infections and sinusitis. Oils recommended for steam inhalations are eucalyptus, tea tree, cajuput, lavender, peppermint, rosemary, pine, and sandalwood . These oils can also be added to water in a neti pot and poured through the nasal cavity, but a very dilute solution must be used, as the oils are very concentrated and could burn the tender mucosal tissue."
Gemstones & Flower Essences that stimulate, cleanse & energize the Third Eye Chakra :
All indigo, and deep blue stones such as : Sapphire, Amethyst, Purple Fluorite, Sugalite, Lapis, which help to stabilize, impart objectivity, strengthen concentration, and aid in purification. Also, Azurite and Sodalite will compliment this chakra.
Flower Essences use for the Third Eye Chakra are: Wild Oat, Queen Anne's Lace, Madia , Aspen, Clematus, and Impatiens. Qualities of these essences include acceptance, focus and spiritual awareness.
Foods that fuel the Brow Chakra include dark bluish colored fruits such as blueberries, red and concord grapes, black berries, raspberries, etc. and liquids such as red wines and grape juice, and spices like lavender, poppy seed, and mugwort.
How to Use Essential Oils to Balance the Third Eye Chakra;
First, choose a blend that speaks only to you. Peruse the oils listed for the throat chakra and notice which oils you are drawn to. See this page of my Root Chakra article for more specific instructions on how to use essential oils to balance the third eye chakra, as the method described there is useful for all the chakras.
Sounds and Notes for Balancing the Third Eye Chakra:
The note that helps balance the chakra is "A", and the sound intonation is "aye" as in eye vowel sound. I've also read that; "eh" as in face is the sound intonation to use as well as the long eeee vowel sound . Whichever works best for you is fine. The throat chakra enables us to communicate our thoughts and feelings, and is directly connected to the ability to express inner creativity. Both our teaching and learning are affected by the balance of the throat chakra. A strong throat chakra encourages leadership, the spirit of truth and listening to one's intuition. " We speak our choices with our voices (throats). All choices we make in our lives have consequences on an energetic level. Even choosing not to make a choice such as in repressing our anger (not speaking out) may manifest into laryngitis. We have all experienced that "lump in our throats" when we are at a crossroad of not knowing how to speak the right words in any given situation, perhaps even stuffing our own emotions. A challenge of the throat chakra is to express ourselves in the most truthful manner. Also to receive and assimilate information. Seek only the truth."
When obstructed or blocked, we experience verbal, hearing and communication problems, sore throats, poor learning ability, and difficulty in expressing our feelings (telling the truth), also we may experience mouth ulcers, scoliosis, swollen glands, thyroid dysfunctions, laryngitis, voice problems, gum or tooth problems, even TMJ may be a symptom of a blocked throat chakra. Some ways to clear these blockages (besides using essential oils, angelic help, Reiki, crystals and gemstones, sound healing techniques and energy work) are; confession, surrender personal will over to divine will, faith, truthfulness over deceit and learning to take responsibility for one's own needs. When we open this area, we become a channel for truth and expressions. When we give ourselves over to God and trust that he can help us and truly surrender to his will, we are assured blessings and healing.
The Throat chakra is about expressing yourself and communicating verbally and non-verbally. This can be creative expression for an artist. This is what we use to ask for what we want and get those desires manifested! When it is open we are good communicators, we are connected and interact with others to mutually beneficial ends. We are good breathers with an open throat chakra, we can release well and take in the breath of life. We heal better with this open. Not speaking the truth can close this chakra. When it is closed we tend to not speak, to our detriment. We are unable to express ourselves. We may be addicted to cigarettes, nasal inhalers and runners high. We may have fevers of unknown origin, inflammations, chronic throat ailments and thyroid problems. We may be fearful and timid. Blocked throat chakras can bring on boredom, contractiveness, restlessness, and frenetic changeability. Behaving in a manner that is honest and true to your self can help open this chakra. Singing, chanting and mantras open it as well. "- fromnaturalessentialoils.net .

Essential Oils for the Throat Chakra
Essential oils to help open this chakra are; German Chamomile (or blue chamomile), Roman Chamomile, Lavender, Spearmint, Catnip, Frankincense, Opopanax, Cypress, Geranium, Spruce, Carrot seed, Fennel, Myrrh, Peppermint, Tea Tree, Cajeput, Sandalwood, Hyssop, Lemon, Sage, Eucalyptus, Goldenrod, Mandarin, Orange, Rosalina, Benzoin, Basil, Linden Blossom, Petitgrain, Rosewood, Atlas Cedarwood, Vetiver , Rose, Jasmine, Elemi, Neroli, Ylang ylang and Bergamot.
Susan Bovanizer explains that, " Aromatherapy can help unblock the throat chakra by supporting our inner strength and fortitude with oils such as frankincense, rose, jasmine, rosewood, elemi, sandalwood, neroli and ylang ylang . These oils help us to feel more secure about ourselves, as well as more self-love, self-confidence and self-actualization. There are also oils that work physiologically on the affected throat area to open the vocal cords and reduce inflammation in the throat tissue. When the physical body is healthy and strong, it is easier to work on the energetic body. Some oils that reduce inflammation and soothe sore throats are tea tree, eucalyptus, cajuput, sandalwood, frankincense, clary sage, and lavender . These oils can be gargled with, inhaled, or rubbed (in a carrier oil) on the affected area. Bleeding gums and aching teeth can be a symptom of an inability to speak up for oneself. Oils that assist in the care and healing of teeth and gums are clove, myrrh, lemon, sage, tea tree, peppermint and sage . These oils can be applied directly to a Q-Tip and swabbed around the mouth and gums for effective healing. Myrrh especially is non-toxic and incredibly soothing for any gum complaints ."
She also adds that, " Pain and disease is usually a wake up call to encourage us to pay attention to a situation or a problem that we are ignoring. When the Universe is trying to get our attention and we aren't listening to our inner selves, then we can manifest earaches, tinnitis (ringing in the ears), or even partial deafness. Some oils that could help change the frequency of an ear condition are tea tree, rosemary, sandalwood, frankincense, lavender, neroli, petitgrain and hyssop . These oils can be added to a base oil and rubbed around the exterior of the ear and applied to a Q-tip and swabbed in the ear. Compresses are also a wonderful way of soothing earaches. Any of the above oils can be used with a compress and placed over the ear to pull out infection and pain ."

The Heart Chakra; or 4th Chakra - Sanskrit name; Anahata - As one would think, the heart chakra deals with matters of the heart including love and compassion where we connect to both personal and unconditional love. The element associated with the heart chakra is AIR- rules the heart, thymus, arms and hands. The physical location is the center of the chest-heart area, or 1st, 2nd and 3rd thoracic vertebrae, the actual heart and circulatory system. The color/s associated with the heart chakra are both green, which symbolizes harmony, abundance, and sympathy, and also pink; which symbolizes softness, affection and love -encouraging the heart to soften and allow more love to flow without judgement. Phylameana lila Desy, says about the heart chakra; "This love center of our human energy system is often the focus in bringing about a healing. Thus, the words "Love Heals All" have great truth. Hurtful situations that can effect our emotional being are divorce or separation, grief through death, emotional abuse, abandonment, adultery. All of these are wounding to the heart chakra. Physical illnesses brought about by heartbreak require that an emotional healing occur along with the physical healing. Learning to love yourself is a powerful first step in securing a healthy fourth chakra. The "wounded child" resides in the heart chakra."
" The Heart chakra is all about love. When the heart chakra is open we are open to change and growth. We fell sympathy and empathy, are sensitive to others. The heart chakra is associated with hopes of the future and awareness of our spiritual purpose. This chakra integrates and connects opposites; ego and being connected to all that is, the mind and the body. When it is open, we are compassionate and friendly; we experience love, joy, acceptance and fulfillment. When our heart chakra is closed we have fears about our involvement with others. We may distance ourselves from others. We may have an inflated ego; we may be jealous and ungrateful. We may have circulation ills, high blood pressure and seasonal
