The waxing crescent moon is the period after the new moon, which will eventually grow into the first quarter moon. It’s magickal correspondences are: animals, business, change, choice, freedom, initiations, individualization, new ideas, challenge to status quo, rebellions, and warrior aspect.

The full moon is the period after the waxing moon, which will eventually diminish into the waning moon. It’s magickal correspondences are: fruition, protection, divination, love, children, decisions, dreams, legal matters, ovulation, fertilization, pregnancy, lust, and life.
The waning gibbous moon is the period after the full moon, which will eventually diminish into the last quarter moon. It’s magickal correspondences are: to remove bad habits or addictions, divorce, protection, banishing, knowledge and teaching.
The last quarter moon is the period after the waning gibbous moon, which will eventually diminish into the waning crescent moon. It’s magickal correspondences are: banishing, removing illnesses, destruction, releasing, wisdom, and the underworld.
The waning crescent moon is the period after the last quarter moon, which will eventually diminish into the dark moon. It’s magickal correspondences are: releasing addictions and obsessions, change, justice, quarrels, death, reincarnation, and destiny.
The dark moon is the period after the waning crescent moon, which will eventually grow into the new moon. It’s magickal correspondences are: rest, meditation, dreams, divination, sleep, visions, and magick.
